Amy and Pepper- family
/0 Comments/in Family, Seniors/by Elise BreedingCan I just say sessions like these remind me why I love my career? Even single ladies need family portraits! When Amy called and said she wanted do something for herself and pamper herself with new portraits she could give away to family, I was so excited and honored to be the one to create them for her.
Amy’s sweet dog is beautiful and it was so fun for me to have a few moments with them to capture Amy’s perfect smile (see those perfectly shaped lips?!), and Pepper’s spunky personality in her old age.
Through the Chairs~ news
/0 Comments/in News/by Elise BreedingThe Professional Photographers of Oklahoma is an affiliate of the Professional Photographers of America. It is the state wide organization. We help educate photographers in the art, craft and business of photography. There is no greater place to find colleagues and build friendships with people who genuinely want to help you be a better business person while learning growing alongside you.
I have been a member of the Professional Photographers of Oklahoma since my High School years (so late 90’s). In early 2012 I was appointed a position on the Board of Directors- what an honor to have some of the top professional photographers in the state ask me to join them in bettering our photographic industry!
I have now been nominated (and I accepted the position) as Secretary for the organization in 2016. I will then move through the chairs for a few years to become President of the organization in 2019. What an extreme honor to be considered worthy enough to serve with all the great photographers of this state who have gone before us to make the career of photography better for everyone!
I have to be honest that I’m a little nervous looking at all the big shoes I have to fill, but again am just giddy at the opportunity to continue to help make the career of photography better every day.
Leif and Laci~ engagement
/0 Comments/in Weddings/by Elise BreedingI love meeting with couples before the wedding. Engagement sessions are some of my favorite, even when just a quick 30 minutes. It gives me a chance to see the Bride and Groom interact and have fun before the wedding day.
And it gives me a chance to see this:
Leif is over the moon in love with Laci. I’m sure the feeling is mutual, but to see a man in awe of his fiancé just makes me love my job of capturing those emotions and documenting these moments in their lives. Life will happen, times will get tough, but I hope they can always look back on these moments and remember how much passion for each other they have.
I have had several couples like this lately. It is such a humbling reminder of why I do what I do, and why I love my career so much!
Leif and Laci, I am so excited to get to share your wedding day with you!
Scott & JoAnna
/1 Comment/in Weddings/by Elise BreedingThese two are getting married!
Scott and JoAnna compliment each other so well, and I am so happy for them! Their big day is just around the corner.
Isn’t she beautiful!? I am so excited for her bridal session in a few weeks. (Scott’s a handsome fella too, don’t get me wrong; but JoAnna’s eyes, smile, personality… I’m ready to photograph her again!)
2 years old!~ child
/0 Comments/in Children/by Elise BreedingI know! How did this little guy get to be so big!?! Even he can’t believe he’s no longer a baby!
This precious little guy was given this blue rhinoceros when he was 6 months old. He has slept with it since, and I find it so very amusing that he grabbed it and his truck as they walked out the door for a portrait session. The little white truck is an exact replica of his Papa’s Ford F-150. After noticing it in a store on his own and making the connection to his grandfather’s vehicle all on his own, it was a no-brainer he needed it, and it too has joined the nightly must-haves for bed time.
7 is Sassy ~ Child
/1 Comment/in Children/by Elise BreedingI think when you turn 7, Sassiness just starts to ooze…
In all honesty, this nature-loving little princess is far from Sassy.
I promised miss Anna we would get cupcakes after her pictures with the rainbow wall downtown. We were pleasantly surprised their address was #7! That’s when the sassy popped out of nowhere!
And lesson of the day: When you promise cupcakes after a morning appointment, be sure to make note of their hours before your arrival. If you arrive for the tasty treats at 10:15 only to find they are still closed… you might get this face. Don’t worry… we found ways to kill 45minutes and she was enjoying her strawberry cupcake with strawberry milk before we knew it!
